This year there are two ways in which readers can enter the Readers Choice Voted Best of Benoni competition.

Readers may choose either to enter via the form printed in the Benoni City Times (no faxes or photocopies will be accepted) OR to SMS their entry.

BEST OF BENONI 2008 COMPETITION RULES

Only entries on an original form printed in the Benoni City Times or by SMS will be accepted.
No FAXes or photocopies will be accepted.
Only one entry (either by entry form or SMS) per person.
Voters must vote for businesses in a minimum of five categories to be eligible for the lucky draw.
Entries which vote for businesses which are not in the Greater Benoni area will be disqualified.
Only businesses in the Greater Benoni will be included in the count for the Best Businesses.
Where the vote is for a business which is a franchise, especially where there is more than one outlet in Benoni, voters must stipulate which outlet or the business address (e.g. Tom Jones Street).
Caxton East Rand employees or members of the organizing committee may record their votes in the Best of Benoni ballots but are not eligible to win prizes.

How to Enter

Cut out the entry form from the Benoni City Times, fill it in and drop it into any of the ballot boxes located at shopping centres and other points around Benoni. Entries close at midnight on Saturday 31st October 2009.

To complete the entry form you must include your name, address and phone numbers and vote for at least 5 categories. The business categories in which you may vote are detailed on the right.

SMS Entries

If you vote by SMS, you may not vote on a ballot form.

To vote via SMS, this is what you do:

Your name
The number of each category you are voting for followed by the business name

SMS messages can be up to 160 characters, including spaces.

An SMS entry will be charged at R2.

Only 1 SMS entry per person.

Bulk SMSes will be DISQUALIFIED
